Austria finds itself in a world of profound change and acute crises. Such events cannot be predicted. Smaller countries in particular must prepare themselves for constant change and unforeseen disruptions. This requires a high degree of systemic adaptability. But how can Austria ensure that it remains socially and economically resilient and can respond agilely to new challenges?

With its recommendations, the Council for Sciences, Innovation, and Technology (FORWIT) addresses three issues. Each chapter discusses four areas of action in which FORWIT believes parameters should be adjusted.
